Move over, Left 4 Dead, your sequel is coming!

Valve announced the sequel for their smash hit, Left 4 Dead, earlier this week.  Featuring four new survivors and 5 new campaigns, the sequel promises some additional melee action, new weaponry and maps that guide the user from Savannah, Georgia to New Orleans, Louisiana.  (Thank goodness there's not smell-e-vision; I imagine rotting zombies would smell worse during the Deep South summers!)

Trailers for Left 4 Dead 2 can be viewed on XBox 360 Live as well as gametrailer.com and youtube.

The game is scheduled to be released November 17th, 2009.

[not a full review - test only]

I like the fact that random people can join your game on Live and take over the character roles. What I hate are the morons who join. The game is meant to be played as if there is a zombie takeover, right? At the beginning, it says "Stick together to stay alive." I always end up with the morons who race far ahead, get captured by a smoker or whatever, and then die. OR....when their "teammate" goes down, they just leave them instead of reviving them or freeing them. It annoys me to no extent - lol.

I enjoy the playability of the game. It seems pretty straight forward thus far though I prefer other games far above this one. This is an easy "point and shoot" first person shooter game. No need to worry about solving puzzles, etc. just do a headshot to a zombie, and gain some achievements along the way.
